The name of this recipe is misleading because there’s no cream in it. It’s simply frozen bananas, cocoa, honey and peanut butter blended together into a creamy iced chocolatey dream. It tastes just like the chocolate covered, nut encrusted frozen bananas that you get at Disneyland. For me, that is THE highlight of going to Disneyland. Aside from the taste, what is amazing is these are a healthy, dairy free, yet satisfying frozen treat. I got the idea from the good folks over at The Kitchn. Slice and freeze them when they are at the stage just past the point of perfect ripeness. -bvox
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana ‘Ice Cream’
Adapted from The Kitchn
2 peeled medium bananas, sliced into coins and frozen until solid
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoons honey
Blend bananas in food processor until they are the consistency of soft ice cream. Blend in peanut butter, honey and cocoa and transfer to a freezer container and freeze until solid. I couldn’t wait and had some right away. Was the consistency of a Wendy’s Frosty.
